The Price March
Every Saturday afternoon, political rallies unfold near Gwanghwamun, the heart of Seoul. For the past seven years, members of conservative groups have marched here weekly to declare their convictions. What surprised me was not the certainty of their message but the age of those who carried it—most of those marching for democracy were elderly. I chose black-and-white analog film to hold the dignity, message, and atmosphere of their proud demeanor without the noise of color. (IPA 3rd Prize, TIPA Honorable Mention)
