The Green in the Black and White
This series asks whether black-and-white photography can carry the essence of green. By removing color, I invite viewers to reconstruct nature through tonal memory rather than visual certainty. Each image translates layers of green into gray—from tender sprouts to bamboo leaves resting in shadow. In one frame, partially submerged reeds appear to dance with the current. Shot on analog film, the work emphasizes texture, movement, and rhythm, suggesting that color exists not only in hue but in perception. (IPA Official Selection)
